Wow! The trades in the NBA have been huge this last month. I've never seen anything like it.
The recent trades by the Lakers, Suns, and Mavericks have shaken things up pretty good. And these moves will probably foster additional ones. Perhaps the Spurs need to do something now. I just have trouble seeing how Tim Duncan, Fabricio Oberto, and Bruce Bowen can stand up against Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, and Lamar Odom or against Shaq, Amare Stoudemire, and Boris Diaw/Grant Hill in the play offs... assuming Shaq fits in and steps up (big assumption!) Seems the Spurs may be one really good big man short now.
In the East, the Celtics and Pistons have to be scratching their heads as well.
I wonder what future trades will come about as a result of all this activity recently.

When the NBA trade deadline is nearing!Hey WUs~! Great to see you blogging!! As a Nuggets fan I worry that they do not have a strong enough team to compete in the playoffs. With the team they have, they are currently in the 7th slot. Not good enough. I would rather see them stay pat than give away some great future players for some funky deal. It does concern me that the Lakers, Suns and Mavericks have all gotten better in the West. The Lakers deal for Pau Gasol bothers me. Not sure if the Jason Kidd deal will go through. Dallas seems to be giving up a LOT to get him, but it is obviously done to 'win now!'. West just gets stronger...YIKES~~~!! My 2¢
